acrylic, color pastels, marker on canvas
(120 x 70 cm)
This painting represents the story of a teenager who is succeeding in his life. The fact that he is holding these two key elements in his hands shows that he has a major control over the evil side that can lead him into making bad decisions. In the core of his body, there are figure characters that are building up to become real humans. These uncompleted body figures portray that the main teenager is building up to become an adult. Below, the young man
can be found by a crowd of other teenagers. The position of these other teenagers shows their discontent seeing one of theirs rise up. On the top right of the canvas appears the face of an adult. This adult is talking and cannot stop. His words are portrayed by a line that crosses the entirety of the canvas but still cannot reach the teenager. The fact that this long line passes behind the narrator and does not get to him shows that he is not affected by what others think about his work and what he achieves.
